Beautiful & heartbreaking & tragic & heavy & morbidly fascinating. Despite living through these events & having my own memories permanently attached to the day & aftermath, this was incredibly meaningful and compelling. The true stories are shared with such respect, tenderness, and detail that I felt like I knew the people & despite knowing the ending(s) kept hoping for this narrative to have a better ending. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a deeper understanding of what, why, and who happened on 9/11/01.

Not for the faint of heart, this read made me cry repeatedly & many chapters/sections had me taking a break afterwards to focus on happier things.
