This is a powerful book. I live in Seattle, and to read about what happened to these Japanese families during WWII in the city I live in is gut-wrenching. It actually happened here where I'm staying and I can't ignore it. Families were torn apart and people were lost.

I sobbed over this book in public. It's a tear-jerker. It's also a sweet, sweet love story. Please read it.
