i really liked the first book in this series, and the premise of this one made me expect to like it too. but it was just so boring to me, the plot crawled along and there was no chemistry between the characters at all to keep me invested. we're repeatedly assured that one of them has had a crush on the other one  since forever, but their interactions were so flat to me that i just couldn't believe it :/ i am usually an easy sell on romances so i don't really know why this one didn't work for me! i got this as an ARC and although i know you're allowed to leave negative arc reviews, i was so embarrassed that i just dnf'ed it instead, whoops. i still think the first book was really cute though!
