I feel like I was sold a different book than I got in this. It started off so promising - a group of young people are chosen for an exploration mission to colonise a new world. But on the journey all is not as it seems. This made it sound way more tense and supernatural than it ended up really being. It felt like teen space drama and that wasn't what I had signed up for.

There were a lot of complex things touched on but it felt surface level and not utilised in the plot. The characters started to become cardboard cut outs and in the final act it became eye rolling. I was ready for it to be finished.

There was something there in this premise - but I think it needed to be tailored to a different audience and taken further.
