This book was completely unrealistic, overly sappy, and a royal romance cliche. However, I loved every word of it. I would've read this a long time ago if I'd known it was dystopian royal romance, one of my favorite genres. The cover, although beautiful, was a bit deceiving. I assumed it was more epic fantasy. If you enjoyed The Selection series, you have to read The Rejected King.
