I loved this so much. It was raw, historical, gritty and just an amazing piece of work.
At first I was a bit confused as to how both time lines related to one another, but eventually I got it.
Lost Apothecary is about a woman who made it her life's work to help woman unalive their husbands/lovers/male family members. 
Divorce wasn't really a thing, so often the only way for the woman to survive is to get rid of their husband in some way.
Toxic men beware!
The second time line (the present) I thought Caroline was a strong woman, and at the end.. just good for her!
