Did not finish book.
DNF'd at 9%
The writing wasn't exactly bad, but it was just overwhelmingly angsty and angry; I simply wasn't in the mood to keep going. Then Jamie (@booksandladders) started reading it and said it didn't get any lighter. In fact, she said it got even darker, and I decided that it wasn't for me.
Now, I know I haven't read the whole book, but based on what I did read and the snippets that Jamie shared, it seemed too much like a straight woman writing her angsty gay man fantasy. But again, I didn't read the whole book, so I can't say that for sure. I'm sure other people loved it, and I'm putting this down to a mismatch of book and reader.
