The Favor by Suzanne Wright

3 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️

”Not yours,” Dane finished. “They’re my rings on her finger. It’s my name she’s taken. It’s my bed she shares. She is mine. So whether you care for her or not isn’t fucking relevant.”

Marriage of convenience? Boss x personal asssistant? Age gap (25 x 27)? Close-proximity? Slowburn? Spice? The Favor has it all.

I only have two complaints:

1. There was too much icky drama between the female characters + the main character's was judgemental towards other women at times sometimes.

2. I think the book needed Dane's POV.

Content warning: descriptive mention of child abuse by a parent, childhood trauma, mention death of a parent from suic*de, off-page death of a sibling in the past, blackmailing, mental health disorders.
