Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica

So many red herrings and contrivances, but I've read enough from this author that I expect it. It's entertaining, if not particularly deep. This story, in particular, had so many victims—characters that I felt terrible for once I realized what was happening. There were a few loose ends that still don't make sense to me, though they ultimately didn't matter (so why include them at all?).
