A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers

4.0

Wow. I was appalled by the scenes that were described in this book. Though also fascinated by the mind of this woman and how it all came to an end. Not five stars, because some parts where she talked about her past or general life felt a little boring compared to the action. Another one to check off the list of unhinged books.

*spoiler alert*
Don't want to spoil the tension for others when reading the book. I've read something about how one of the biggest issues with people getting away with murder is the paranoia. At some point most (serial) killers will spill something or think others will spill something. And that's what happened here too. Paranoia took over and eventually was her biggest downfall, along with the one piece of evidence she didn't think through and could have been easily avoided in my opinion. She was doing very well in making sure the murders weren't linked to her, but it also felt like she got away with everything very easy. All circumstances were so suspicious to me, I'm surprised the police wasn't all over the first murders.
