So I have some experience with the stalking trope. But Josh has got to be, by far, the best stalker ever??? I've never read a book with a stalker who emphasized so much on consent. He always makes sure she's comfortable, not too scared and always reminds her he will stop if she says the word. Also
Josh not being a cat or animal person and IMMEDIATELY becoming Daddy to Aly's cat had my ovaries wringing themselves out! It wasn't like a one or two time thing but he CONSTANTLY calls himself Daddy and even when a real home invader appears, his first thought is "Where is our son" ABOUT THE CAT!!! Please, where can I find a Josh? I need one please.
Aly is also a great FMC who didn't immediately fold into the fantasy (safety first, guys). She made sure to do her due diligence and only caved when she was 100% she was safe. The second half of the book was filled with action and suspense which I wasn't expecting but it was still very well written. An amazing read, I binged it in one day.
