This book is complicated, in that it comes at you from so many directions. A daughter of immigrants, whose sister died in an accident, who feels inferior to her sister, who struggles with depression, who is having her first romantic relationship .... I could go on and on. I ended up really enjoying it, though at first I thought it moved a little slow.
