Enchantment: Reawakening Wonder in an Exhausted Age by Katherine May

emotional hopeful reflective slow-paced

5.0

I will literally read anything that Katherine May ever writes. This book was such an incredible meditation on how to find magic in the every day. There were so many moments in the book, large and small, that resonated with me so deeply. I feel so torn with how I consume her books because I love the experience of listening to them, but it feels so much more ephemeral and leaves me with an overall feeling of peace and contentment but fewer concrete memories of things that I enjoyed in particular, and it's less easy to browse through after the fact to go bookmark something or quote. I suspect this will not be the last time I read this, or any of her books, so I may switch formats for the next time through. In any case, I loved this book a whole lot.
