The Same Bright Stars by Ethan Joella
4.0
4.5 ⭐
Are you looking for that perfect book to slip into your beach bag during these last weeks of summer? One that hits that sweet spot of being not too light and fluffy and yet not too heavy either? The Same Bright Stars just might be that Goldilocks of read you're looking for.
Ethan Joella's writing is always a balm to me. He writes with a quiet, gentle, never-in-a-hurry voice, and I found that here in The Same Bright Stars. I also have a weakness for books that feature a little locally owned restaurant, as oddly specific as that might sound, so this book felt tailor-made me for me. I grew so attached to these characters and was saddened long before that final chapter at the thought of turning that final page. This book was like a warm hug, you guys. If you're searching for a feel-good read with substance and depth, I think you might love it, too.
