European Integration and the Atlantic Community in the 1980s by Kiran Klaus Patel

5.0

Excellent collection of essays which focusnkn the early 80s. Despite being seen as a time of American-European tension, it instead represented the highpoint of the alliance, as hidden, institutional ties kept the NATO ship running. In particular, Philipp Gassert’s chapter on 'transatlantic drift', US missiles and European Integration is a must-read.
