I genuinely thought I’d already reviewed this one. 

 I read it for school and it was sometimes a bit tough to get to because of it being mandatory, but it genuinely is an impactful book. The way people’s emotions and thoughts are described really do something to you. That made it hard to get through because of all the personal tragedies you read about. 

 It gave me a newfound appreciation for the deep and terrible struggles of some of the colonialists in Indonesia.
