The Witch Boy by Molly Knox Ostertag

5.0

This is a delightful read. The art is nice, the world is well constructed, and the magic is intriguing. It's an excellent exploration of how enforcing strict gender norms can be harmful to people who don't fit in those boxes. It could also be read as a family or group gaining understanding of gender identity issues and learning to become supportive.

I would definitely read book 2.
