I always wanted to read this series but as a kid completely forgot about it. I remember watching the movie when it first came out but honestly I couldn’t remember most of it. So finally I decided to start it. Everyone probably knows what Percy Jackson is about so I won’t go into too much detail of the plot and really focus on just the actual review. First and foremost, I love the writing style of Rick Riordan, it’s so easy to read and to follow. Also the fact that the chapters are short is perfect for some people, to me I don’t really care about that but I know that a lot of people HATE really long chapters, so I guess that’s a good thing as well. Also I love the perfect mix of mythology and modern time in this story. It just makes it so easy to get into the world. I enjoyed it so much even though ar first I wanted a little more depth to the charactera BUT keep in mind that this is a series with 5 novels and a few novellas so there is still potential for some more depth. I can’t wait to continue reading this series.
