The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton

1.0

This book was really disappointing. The writing was not only bad, but also confusing. I'm not sure if the dialogue was suppose to be vague, but it seemed really unrealistic to how people have a conversation. It was like they were constantly speaking in riddles. Most of the main characters actions made zero sense and aren't explained properly. Nella is so oblivious to everything that it just makes her seem dumb.
I really wanted to stop reading after a hundred pages, but the mystery of the miniaturist made me persevere...and let me tell you what a HUGE disappointment that was. Also I could care less about the freaking sugar.
