Normal People by Sally Rooney

I'd hoped that the disappointments of 2020 would refrain from leaching into my reading, but alas, here we are.

If you want to read a book that superficially explores the nature of abusive relationships, the inner turmoil experienced by those engaged in sado-masochisic play, that sweet sweet cocktail of depress-xiety, with a baseless on-again off-again, will-they won't-they relationship (we love a trope!!) and at it's close has you thinking 'well that was quaint', then this is the book for you.
