Wow. Just wow. I’ve gone 2 nights with barely any sleep because of this book but I’ve finally finished it! Let me say, if you haven’t read it yet because you are hesitant, there is no need to be. It ties the events of books 1 and 2 together nicely and brings back certain things that happened in the past books and plays them out differently.
For example—Aidan goes out of control again at one point. But this time it’s because he’s trying to do everything in his power to protect Kady. That’s the simplest way to explain it. Of course, there’s much more to it. But I love how that was one of the most important things they brought back. I love Aidan. Am I crazy?
Anyway, we were also introduced to a whole new set of character with good, bad, and mixed intentions. Their storyline was separate from Kadys and everyone else’s. This storyline was a bit weaker but it didn’t have an entire book dedicated to telling its “before” story. Overall, it was good. For as human and ‘not special’ as Asha was I thought she fit the part well. I loved Rhys and his strange hair that defied gravity. Asha and Rhys’ love story line is a little like Kady and and Ezra’s only times 10 in its level of extreme. I kinda admired having a few ‘crazy kids’, if you know what I mean. Also enjoyed Rhys’ BeiTech friends, as strange as that may sound—especially when that conversation about past romances pops up. Lol
The character development of the other characters—Ella, Nik, Hanna, etc.—was excellent! They got just as much time to shine as Kady and Asha. I’ll be honest some character I didn’t like before I read this book really grew on me. I also loved the ending! I’m happy that plot twist showed up! I know this is a spoiler review but I really don’t want to spoil that because I really loved it that much.
I hope you read it and enjoy it! For those of you who have already read it, I hope you liked it as much as I did! I’m so sad this is the end...Maybe some short story in the future? (Please.)
