In short, this is a summary of the OG book but poorly organized compared to the original and with too many "kids these days" rants about overcoming systemic income inquality with personal responsibility. I do like the updated statistics and the review of the last book's material. It's a great prescription for wealth, and it forces you to reconsider whether being a millionaire is truly a goal worth chasing, considering the risk of delaying verification for so long. In fact, the original author of the first book died by drunk driver a few years back. I wonder if he'd regret having lived his life so frugally in order to amass money he'll never get to enjoy or share with loved ones. So too do I wonder if millions in the bank is worth keeping my soending so low. I imagine these techniques make for the type of austere, individualistic, and somewhat soulless lives that I usually associate with the American descendants of white northwestern European
