Malice had me intrigued from the very first chapter. There wasn't a moment in this book where my interest wasn't piqued. I was kept on my toes with each new aspect we learned in the story and the world-building flowed effortlessly. This book is a sapphic retelling where Aurora falls for Alyce (the Dark Grace). I'm always here for falling for the villain trope but also the misunderstood villain. The narrator, Ann Marie Gideon, did such an incredible job with this book. She used distinct voices that helped me know which character was speaking. Her voice kept me entranced throughout the entire 13 hours it took to finish. I'm glad to find out she is voicing the second book in this duology and I cannot wait to listen!
