With You Forever by Chloe Liese

5.0

Thanks to NetGalley and the author for this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review!

I will start by saying that I love Chloe Liese books. I love the simple but piercing affectivity of her writing. I love the depth and nuance of her characters. I love that she tells you what you need to know about people's different experiences without having it be an exposition dump. I love the Bergman family and the people who join it. This book did not disappoint.

The love story of Axel and Rooney is so gentle and beautiful. It will shatter you and make your heart literally ache with feelings and then put you back together and tuck you safely into bed with the utmost care. The awkwardness, the intimacy, the angst, the care, the (mis)communication, the slow burn, the joy of watching two people figure out how to love each other and be loved….this book is the very reason why I read romance. After the first read I already knew that it would jump to the top of my cozy comfort reads list, honestly, the PNW fall aesthetic is swoon-worthy in itself, and I so look forward to being able to curl up on a rainy day and lose myself in this love story again and again :')

Lastly, I need to briefly talk about Viggo for a second because I love him so much (lover of romance books, a thoughtful and caring sibling, scattered/passionate about new tasks— this reads to me as potentially having adhd like me!) and I cannot wait for his book whenever it comes.

Anyway, PREORDER. THIS. BOOK. IMMEDIATELY. and then....buy a pine-scented candle and a plaid throw blanket, find a youtube channel that plays a log fire, and prepare to have your heart warmed come September.
