The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History by John M. Barry

5.0

Should be required reading for anyone involved in health care, period. An excellent overview of the Spanish Flu pandemic, but also an insightful analysis of the state of American medical education at that time and its effect up to today. Give it 50 pages and you won't be able to put it down.
