So boring. I kept waiting for something, anything, to happen. All the reviews say that the sisters are dealing with mothers passing…not really. The mom had died prior to the story and they express sadness a couple of times, but it’s an afterthought. The sisters are just sisters who seem to be friends but nothing exciting there. The aunt seems nice but her romantic story is uninspiring. The descriptions and laborious telling of the same mundane scene was exhausting and frustrating. It’s not a bad book, it’s just a painfully boring book. Not funny. Not emotional. Not happy. Not sad. Not nothing. Ironically, one of the characters had writers block and I feel like the author did as well.
