My dad has read this to me since I was a child. This is a book that I love to go back to, it just takes me a while to get through, the words are so beautiful. The way they talk is so different from today, that it truly is a joy to read from a different time and world. There are so many quotes in this book I enjoy, I have this book underlined. An example is, "Gather your wisdom ere we return!" What a great line! :)

A note I took about the book was this,
I like how the greed from the dragon has rubbed off on the gold. It is a great reason why Thorin is so unhelpful. I get his point, but there is plenty of gold to go around. His pride is getting in the way of the peace all these people could have!
