Animal Farm by George Orwell
5.0
My favourite of Orwell's books. It's both a very effective tool for class discussion and just a genuinely great read.
It's heart-breaking, rage inducing and though I *believe* intended as a criticism of communism, it shows abuse of power in general.
*Edit
Having read it again, I can confirm that it's still my favourite of Orwell's books and one of my favourite books over all. Poor Boxer...
If anything, it's circled back around to be horrendously relevant to the relationship between large corporations and their employees/the public ie "We're all in this together!" -said while the average person is suffering very badly during quarantine but the rich get richer.
