i have no original thoughts on this except it’s an amazing read. despite the topic, it’s an extremely easy read, and i read most of it in one sitting — mccurdy is able to really show how deep abuse and trauma cuts you, and how long the effects of it can have. i’m glad we had the “after” section and could follow her moving towards healing herself as a hopeful ending to the memoir.
