The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare
5.0
Oh, this one is good.
There are so many things I love about the story.
First, Ash made me laugh out loud...several times. His sarcasm is top tier. Tessa Dare's books that are my favorites usually don't involve a duke. Because they can usually be, well obnoxious. I find this to be especially true when they are a scarred hero, like Ash. He does come off as dark, scary, and lonely at times but in general he's a breath of fresh air.
Emma is our the leading lady and she has such a past story that brings tears to your eyes. Her story being revealed ends one of the most sensual, steamy, raw sex scenes I've read in awhile.
The side characters are amusing. I haven't read the synopsis of the other books in this series but I hope to continue with their stories. There is so much personality between them.
The ending, this is how you write an ending. It's fun and complete. It's not rushed whatsoever and allows some topics that I was hoping would be brought up become unpacked. They needed they last conflict/argument. I needed it as a reader.
This is now my second favorite Tessa Dare book.
Five stars.
