Summer on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber
2.0
I listened to this as an audiobook, and will never choose another book read by Delilah. Her sentences were broken - breathing was done at the wrong spot, I think. It was irritating throughout.
The book itself was too much fluff for my taste. Lots of telling, this happened, that happened. Idyllic setting, too good to be true characters, everything wrapped up in a nice, neat bow. None of the characters appealed to me, largely because they seemed one dimensional. Part of the problem may have been that it was an ensemble cast - essentially several stories being told in the same book, all connected by Blossom Street. I get it - this is a series. But it didn't work for me.
