I only read this because I saw G. C. L. in person and she talked about how much fun it was to write and that Disney approached her to write it. As a longtime Levine fan I knew I had to get it, and found it within a week at a used book store. I've never seen the Disney Fairies movies - and I really don't want to - or read any of the other books but it was so well written I felt like I understood them perfectly, like they were just old friends I'd know forever.

The story was touching and well written, especially for a short children's story. I loved it so much I bought the next book in the series almost as soon as it came out. Levine is one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy regardless of their age!
