Oh Marie Lu can write a story, and this sequel gave me more of what I wanted from the first book, it was a bloody good ride with this one!

Imagine your favourite bias idol becoming an international spy at the side? (teehee) For some unknown reason, I kind of imagined Mingyu from Seventeen whilst reading this second book and GOOD LORD IT GOT ME GIGGLING and reeling cause he kind of fits the vibes for Winter (in some ways). Hamin from PLAVE can be a candidate too (anflanfklna) but yeah, if you have a bias and you somewhat imagine them as Winter whilst reading this, it will definitely upped the joy ride for this one!

Unlike the first book, I kind of liked how the second book went. More high stakes, and the fact that the setting was in Singapore (its somewhere familiar for South East Asians) makes it a more exciting read. I am at a point of my life that I will enjoy young adult reads when its done right and Marie Lu definitely did it right. There was angst and longing for the romance, the action scenes were pretty cool and above all, I love the character growth for each of them in here.

ALSO GIVE ME THE 3RD BOOK QUICK STOP TEASING US LIKE THIS (haha).
I enjoyed the sequel more than the first one. This is a book that is PERFECT for anyone who wants a quick read, has a dash of spy and mostly if you're a fangirl of any kind, just imagine ur idols in here and you're all set to go :p

4.25🌟 for this one! Loved it!
