Blew me away. It was so atmospheric; I felt like I was in Russian winter while reading it in 90F heat and humidity. Arden’s writing is fantastic. I was completely absorbed in the world she created. I love the dark fairytale vibe of this book and can’t wait to continue.

Reread 3/1/22 - 3/4/22. Not sure how I can add to my review but yeah, still love it. Definitely on my all time favorites list. If you’ve thought about reading this.. do it!! Arden’s characters are amazing, and you will care deeply about them and their relationships with one another. The foreshadowing makes me want to go immediately reread the rest of the series. I love these books 💙💙
Oh and I forgot, but there’s a glossary in the back! Refer to it while you’re reading and it will help with some things. I wish I had remembered it while reading this time 😂
