Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells
4.0
The Murderbot Diaries feel like a sitcom - every novella showcases some new fun and dynamic interactions between Murderbot and some sort of robot, and I really loved Miki, the pet robot, with my whole heart. Martha Wells manages to paint a wonderful landscape of artificial intelligence, which in turn makes Murderbot's struggles with its own affections towards humans - that aren't *just* programming necessary to perform its job well - all the more endearing.
