Tw: cursing, distant parents,

It was such a pleasure to open the book while I was listening to the audiobook and find that true to Barbra’s personality, she add tidbits, asides and paraphrases, while she is reading her written words. Bringing such an amazing depth and realness to her memoir.

At the same time, I feel like absolutely every aspect of Barbra’s life was talked about.

It was very, “And Barbra wrote the other 51!”

This audio book is 48 hours long and it felt like it, even at 2.5x speed! It’s like she shared every time she went thrifting to find vintage clothing or antique furniture or bought a piece of art. I wasn’t expecting to have so much clothing descriptions and things read from other people’s memory vaults.

I appreciated hearing about the interviews, reviews and concerts… but man. That was a lot.
