I love this series. 

That said, despite being in more dire circumstances, book 2 seems somehow less intense than book 1 was?

It’s still good, with court intrigue and fun action scenes, but I didn’t feel Theo and Luka’s connection quite as strongly in this one. 

Looking forward to picking it back up in the third.
