In the Act is a darkly hilarious novella by the masterful Rachel Ingalls—while this is my first encounter with her, it definitely won’t be my last.  It’s a giant eye roll at sexual objectification and told mostly from the perspective of a fed-up housewife who’s not above blackmail.  Think Klara and the Sun but with sex robots.
