The Monstrous Duke and I by Dee St. Holm
4.0
3.5/5 ⭐️s
Dee St Holm is a new to me author, and I’m so excited to find her! This book was everything it promised to be - a fun mix of regency and monster romances with a brother’s best friend and fake dating trope to top it all off.
Penelope and William each had their own issues to address, which I enjoyed. It gave their characters some depth. Their romance was sweet and perfect too. There was so much respect and adoration for each other.
I do wish William’s issues with his parents had been better addressed, and (to be completely honest) I wouldn’t have said no to turning up the heat with more spice. Overall though, I enjoyed this story a lot, and I can’t wait to read more from Dee in the future!
Spice: 1.5/5
