Cybele's Secret by Juliet Marillier
5.0
Oh wow!! This book is marvelous. I haven’t read anything by Marillier that I don’t like. I was a little disappointed when I found out that Cibele’s Secret was about Paula, since -to me- she was the less interesting of the sisters. But I pushed through that sentiment and read.
I soooo don’t regret it. Here we see Paula, 5 years after the events of Wildwood Dancing, with Tati gone, Jena and Iulia also found their paths, we had only Paula and Stela left.
I’m glad to find Teodor had a bigger part in this story and we can enjoy a little of his character, the strong and lovely man that brought up 5 girls by himself.
It’s Paula’s turn to find her path, to discover herself and learn. We follow Paula and her two new friends on their adventure on Istanbul and exotic islands mingled with the Other Kingdom.
The book has a slow start but once it picks up speed you can’t help but to become enraptured and unable to put it down.
And the end it looks like we’ll get another story, after all we still have Stella. I can’t wait to see what the author will create.
