Fool's Errand by Robin Hobb

4.0

Starting with this trilogy right after the Liveship Traders , it struck me again how different in tone the narration from Fitz's perspective is from the multiple POVs from the other trilogy.
This book especially felt so intimate and familiar, and had so many beautiful moments of nostalgia woven into it. I related so much to the way Fitz looked back at his old life with mixed feelings of fondness and realizing not everything was as he remembered. I was particularly excited for
Spoiler him to reunite with the Fool again
, especially after what happened in Liveships. The way that happened absolutely did not disappoint me!
I really appreciate how we were introduced to this new era of the story and Fitz's life, and the new cast of side characters that were brought into the plot. I'm particularly interested to see his bond with a certain character evolve over the next few books, and see them grow and learn more about themselves and eachother. Especially since that *one specific sad scene* happened that brought them closer together.
