During my first attempt at venturing into romance, I had tried Poston's The Dead Romantics and I wasn't impressed - the characters, plot, romance all fell flat for me. I hadn't planned on picking up another of her books, but I felt the need to venture into romance to break up the fantasy reads and decided to give her another try. I'm glad I did.
I enjoyed The Seven Year Slip so much. I loved the whimsical atmosphere, the message, the romance, the characters, the plot, just for some reason it called to me. Sure it falls to the cliche's I often find within romances but for some reason it just worked. It made me believe in love again and adventure, and being one's authentic self.
