I loved this book so much I read it in one setting. It has the perfect combo of romance, adventure, and politics for me. I really liked the blend of traditional royal court intrigue and modernish technology, too. I immediately identified with the MC ... and I really liked that the MC was flawed and not one of those "perfect heroes" you sometimes get in fantasy. Kilaen's a really talented author and I can't wait to read more from her!
