Kennedy Ryan just never disappoints. Lennix and Maxim were like fireworks every time they were together it was too good. This did feel like Scandal 2.0 and you can’t convince me that they wettest Fitz and Olivia coded. I felt like this book didn’t hold my attention as much as the first book did because there were parts that the romance took a backseat to the political plot. Like so many things happened and sometimes I feel like less is more. I just wanted to see my couple flourish and be in peace for just a couple of chapters. I did really love seeing the conclusion of Lennix and Maxim’s love story.
