Thank you Netgalley, Elle Kennedy and Little Brown Book Group UK for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I'm a big fan of Elle Kennedy's various hockey series so I was so excited to get to The Charlie Method - and it did not disappoint!!
Following Charlie, Will and Beck, this is the first of her hockey series to have three main characters so it was really interesting seeing all three POV and getting to know each character. I loved how different they all were and how we got to know and love them throughout their story. I was especially intrigued after being introduced to Will and Beck in The Graham Effect and seeing more hints of their relationship in The Dixon Rule. I especially loved getting to know Charlie - her story and family was so interesting and I got very invested in her as a character! She was a great, strong female lead and I loved her dynamic with the two boys as well.
I did find that as there were three POVs, we perhaps didn't get as much from side characters as we normally would in an Elle Kennedy book, which is what I really love about them - the banter and hilarious parts that often come from those side character interactions - but it did still have a lot of the funny and cutesy that I love in her hockey books. I loved the spice - lots of great scenes if you're a fan of those!! - and especially loved the uniqueness between Charlie, Will and Beck - I really appreciate the love between them rather than it just being about their spicy scenes.
I did find a few things at the end seemed a bit rushed and too perfectly closed but it felt right to end in the way it did.
As always, I love Elle Kennedy's books and just can't wait for the next one!! Would highly recommend for my hockey lovers, especially if you've enjoyed the previous books in the interconnected series!
