This was such a fantastic sequel to My Heart is a Chainsaw. It takes place four years after the first book ended. Deliciously creepy, fantastic dialogue, connecting plot threads, more points of view, and amped up gore and violence. This was a love letter to the slasher genre. In typical slasher fashion, the sequel needs to stay true to the formula but up the stakes, and it did not disappoint. My one complaint is that I wish we had more of Jade. I loved following her journey in the first book. However, I love that Jade has changed and grown and it has such a huge payoff at the end. I cannot wait to get to the next book!
