This is one of the most delightful reads I've read in a long time. Full disclosure: the author is my cousin, which may be (partially) why I adored it so much. It allowed me to have a glimpse into some of my favorite members of my family's history and hear some of their stories retold beautifully. It brings to life a few generations of a Mallu family, a time when Kerala (even before it was Kerala), looked and felt quite different than it does today.
