Whiskey Sour by Addison Beck
5.0
Knox (Lennox) • Elton
….
“And when we fall asleep together, I do it wrapped in his arms. I never once question my worth.”
….
This book is my very own form of a kryptonite. When I tell you how I crumbled when the walls came crashing down around these two. Two very polar opposite man but how they completed each other in the end. I can’t take it away from Addison that she writes one hell of a spicy scene. If you know me, they’re not my priority while reading a book, I even flow with fade to black but while I know, I know, I am repeating myself, there is something about these Addison boys that just do it for me, um, um, um. While we are concentrating here on the sexual aspect of the book what made this book a five star one was the way I can always connect with the characters. That emotional link and the little moments. These little (very big important) moments were what made them - them in my eyes and it’s in the small things. These two boys are taking the number one spot. And Elton - talk that talk.
Whiskey Sour proportions:
2 ounces of an emotional connection
3/4 ounce of freshly squeezed messy lust
1/2 ounce of hurt
1/2 ounce of “I see you”
Garnish: make it filthy but sweet
….
Too Close To Touch - Inside Voices
.
The Neighbourhood - A Little Death
.
Isabel LaRosa - eyes don’t lie
….
“Something to make me whole and make me feel seen. Something to make me forget about my life and shower me with the attention I crave.” // “Say my name.” // “I wonder if he truly knows what it feels like to be alone. Alone like me.” // “We’ll work on that.” // “I can’t help but wonder when that person will be my person?” // “Always waiting for my turn.” // “My heart should not stutter at the smile this guy gives me but, holy shit, it does.” // “Once you get your shit together, then you can call me.” // “You make it easy to be.” // “Well, I’m trying, aren’t I?” // “And I wonder if he knows he was smiling the entire time.” // “…his hands are free to cradle my face, his pierced nose brushing against mine…” // “…whereas Elton is the whole damn wave.” // “It’s in that infinite second…” // “Because he’s the overwhelming, all-encompassing, gravitating force I’ll always revolve around.” …
