Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao

5.0

This was such a magical, imaginative, beautiful, and inspiring ride into worlds that defy reality, laced with poetic insights to life and the significance of choice.

Set in Tokyo, Japan, Hana takes over her father’s pawn shop, that deals not in material things, but choices their customers wish to forget. The shop lives in another world that only reveals itself if you have something that is holding you back. The day Hana’s father retires she wakes up to find him missing and the pawn shop in disarray when a physicist named Kei stumbles into her shop. He makes the choice to help her find her father, no matter the cost.

Together, they get lost in the most unique, awe inspiring worlds to find that “losing your way is oftentimes the only way to find something you did not know you were looking for.”

5⭐️ One of the most beautiful books I’ve read.
