EDIT:
Knocking off another star here after reflecting a bit more on it, and honestly just don't feel comfortable with giving this more than 1 star.

I got recc'd this book in the wildest way. I was literally at a bar talking to other patrons about Kindle Unlimited and one of said patrons mentioned this book and then "it's kind of like Hannibal" and I was like bet I'll give it go.

Honestly I went into it pretty blind and also only skimmed the authors note in the beginning so I did not fully realize it was dub con, but it was dub con in the most loosest of terms, like most of this book is violent SA like lets make that clear right now. And i'm finding it absolutely wild I was recommended this by some random in the bar IDK.

Anyway it is kind of like Hannibal and I see the similarities there. But I feel like if you are interested in this kind of story where a psychopath and an extreme empath being together/pursuing a relationship of some kind...I would just watch Hannibal tbh.

Technically this book is not great. A lot of grammar errors, spelling mistakes and flow issues. Also this book is a little over 500 pages and I felt like it could have been shaved way down to maybe around 300. I found myself asking myself "what is happening" way to many times and having to reread passages to actually understand, which mostly came down to this almost stream of consciousness writing style that popped up randomly throughout the story.

Ending was also like???? Okayyyy....??? Like this guy fully abused you and you can just move on from that and have your happily ever after with him???
